Here at Comfort IV Therapy, we offer a wide range of home infusion therapy services, and we will provide care coordination with your doctors, nurses, and insurance companies. Our staff is trained in the use of state-of-the-art delivery systems so that you can maintain your maximum independence and resume your normal activities as quickly as possible.
Home infusion therapy allows you to receive your medications through either an IV catheter, or through a tube inserted into your stomach or intestine, from the comfort of your own home. Your treatment will be prescribed by a physician, who will also oversee your care. In home infusion therapy, a nurse will train you or your caregiver to administer the medication(s) or tube feedings. A pharmacist is involved in selecting your delivery system, monitoring your therapy including any laboratory results, and collaborating with your physician for any changes and dose adjustments.
What home infusion services do you offer?
What are the benefits of home infusion therapy?
Home infusion allows patients to receive necessary medications or treatments in the comfort of their own homes, avoiding the need for frequent visits to a hospital or clinic. This can be particularly beneficial for patients with mobility issues, transportation challenges, or those who live far from medical facilities.
Is home infusion therapy safe?
Hospitals and clinics can be breeding grounds for infections. Home infusion therapy can lower the risk of exposure to infectious diseases by allowing patients to receive treatment in their own sanitized environment.
Is home infusion therapy expensive?
In some cases, home infusion therapy can be more cost-effective than receiving treatment in a hospital or clinic, especially when considering factors such as transportation expenses, missed workdays, and hospital fees.
Are there set times for home infusion?
Home infusion therapy gives patients more control over their treatment schedules and allows them to maintain a sense of independence. They can schedule treatments at times that are convenient for them and have more flexibility in managing their daily routines.
What if my therapy is long-term?
Patients with chronic illnesses that require ongoing infusion therapy may find it more convenient and sustainable to receive treatments at home, allowing them to integrate their medical care more seamlessly into their daily lives.
We look forward to speaking with you, and to helping you regain your independence and enjoyment of life. At Comfort IV Therapy your health and well-being are our top priority, and we will work tirelessly to make sure that you receive the care and comfort that you deserve.
